Abstract artworks in acrylic and ink

I am drawn to subjects that evoke some kind of emotion in me, such as the exquisite colours and textures found in trees and flowers; the unique charm of birds and animals; the sculptural shape of inanimate objects; and the elegance of the human form.

There is a certain magic in bringing something to life on a blank canvas, and working with acrylic paint allows me to experiment with colour and technique as I explore the shape, texture  and tones of each subject.

I also enjoy the unpredictable nature of working with alcohol ink and Posca pens to create colourful abstract works on Yupo paper.  I was introduced to this medium by a talented Aunt who made it look way easier than it is!

I paint for fun and relaxation, and it brings me great joy when my work resonates with others in some way.
